Hosting a baby shower is not rocket science, but disorganized hosting can turn the event into a loud care-free, or worse, a boring evening. Some guidelines to keep the festivities focused and fun is just what you need. The good news is that your night will come together with some of these exciting games and activities. So while rattles are opened and diapers are assembled your guest will sure be amused by some of these baby shower games.
Baby Shower Name Boggle
You will need
- Paper
- Pencils
- Timer
Everyone is given one minute to write as many words using the letters in baby’s name.
When one minute is over guest will read out the words. The guest with most word made up wins,
Tip: if someone already has a word you must cross it out.
Party Time
Have the mom-to-be introduce the baby’s full name, along with the correct spelling.
The guest will write it down on the piece of paper that you pasted out to them.
Next you will put the timer on for one minute, and have the guest write as many word as possible.
After the person who generated the most words, total, wins.
Tip: If you like, after you played the game, have the guest make up a poem using those words to express something about the family-to-be. It may be sentimental, or express some funny time together.
Prize Reward the winner with a board game of scramble or a gift card of your choice.
Sink the Onesie
You will need
- Wad or wrap onesies into little balls.
- Diaper pail (for a large group you could use more than on pail)
Each guest takes turn shooting the onesies into the basket.
Tip: If it get to easy, keep pushing the distance between the hoop and the shooter.
Party Time Have the mom-to-be take the first shot, just like in real basketball, and then continue on to the next guest.
The winner who makes the shoot gets a prize while the parents get the onesies.
Tip: You can rotate this game as many times as you want, don’t for get to have fun with it.
Prize Put together a goody bag with different assortments of candy and prizes like a pen, booklet, small picture frame, or mugs that can be easily found at any discount store of your choice.
